CLASS 1 TRAMPER DRIVER – MIDDLEWICH
£50,000–£55,000 earning potential | Monday–Friday | Regular Vehicle
POW Logistics is a family-run haulage company based in Middlewich, Cheshire, and we are looking for an experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering regular, consistent work, good earning potential and a regular vehicle.
PAY & EARNINGS
- £15.00/hr basic pay – first 45 hours
- £16.00/hr overtime – after 45 hours
- £20.00/hr weekend rate
- £25.00 tax-free night-out allowance – typically 2–4 nights per week
- £50,000–£55,000 annual earning potential, depending on hours, nights out and additional/weekend work
- Paid weekly
Work is predominantly Monday to Friday. Weekend work is occasional and paid at the enhanced rate.
ABOUT THE JOB
You'll operate a modern, well-maintained vehicle, carrying out nationwide work using curtain-sided/tautliner and bulk tipping trailers.
As a family-run business, we know our drivers personally and value the part they play in the company. You're not just another number on a rota.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safe and professional operation of your vehicle
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly
- Ensuring loads are correctly loaded and secured
- Completing all paperwork accurately
- Maintaining good communication with the transport office
- Complying with drivers' hours, Working Time and company procedures
- Representing POW Logistics professionally at customer sites
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Valid C+E / Class 1 licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Class 1 driving experience
- Bulk tipper experience preferred
- Maximum of 6 points – no DR or IN convictions
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time rules
- Reliable, professional and organised
- Good communication skills
- Able to plan your working day and navigate throughout the UK
- Someone who takes pride in their vehicle and their work
