Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and assistance. The Care Assistant will work closely, following care plans to deliver tailored support, fostering independence and dignity for all service users.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Help with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as laundry and cleaning where appropriate
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to show empathy and patience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Respectful attitude towards clients’ privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
