We’re looking for talented local actors to join our Edinburgh coven for the popular Witches Old Town Walking Tour - a theatrical storytelling experience.
The tour currently runs daily at 11am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Guides are allocated at least one tour day per week.
This is a fully scripted one-person show - all eyes will be on you. We’re seeking confident, high-energy performers who can bring to life our friendly, whimsical, and knowledgeable witch. The character is quirky, warm, and engaging - never wicked!
The tour explores the true tales of Scottish witches through the centuries, alongside fascinating snippets of Old Town history and ghost stories. It’s part performance, part history through captivating fully scripted storytelling.
What we’re looking for:
- Exceptional projection and clear delivery (radio mic provided when necessary)
- Dynamic storytelling skills with strong stage presence
- Interest in and understanding of history
- Confidence managing audiences and working solo
- Comfortable performing outdoors, in all weathers
- A Scottish accent is preferred, but others will be considered
