Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar PV Electrician to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing photovoltaic solar power systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on sustainable energy projects, utilise your electrical expertise, and contribute to environmentally friendly initiatives. Candidates must possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. All positions are paid, including internships.
Responsibilities
- Install solar photovoltaic systems in accordance with industry standards and project specifications
- Conduct wiring, cabling, and connection of solar panels, inverters, and electrical components using hand tools and power tools
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing solar systems to ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately
- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete installations on time and within budget
- Document installation processes and report any issues or discrepancies promptly
Experience
- Previous experience working as an electrician or in a similar electrical role is preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical installations is essential
- Electrical experience specific to renewable energy or solar power systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and best practices within the industry is required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various outdoor environments
- Relevant certifications or licences related to electrical work will be advantageous
