Your Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Parking Manager to support the delivery of parking facilities and moving traffic enforcement services across Stockport. You will help coordinate day-to-day service activity, support colleagues within the team, respond to service enquiries and complaints, and assist with statutory processes including Traffic Penalty Tribunal casework, FOIs, annual reports and service returns.
You will also liaise with contractors involved in moving traffic enforcement, helping to monitor service information, identify operational issues and escalate matters where required. The role will support the specialist Thriving Places Neighbourhoods Manager in maintaining effective, customer-focused and legally compliant services.
About You
You will have experience of working in a parking enforcement or moving traffic enforcement environment. You will be confident using IT systems and data to monitor performance, analyse information and support decision-making.
You will be organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. You will have good communication skills and be comfortable dealing with colleagues, elected members, contractors, residents, businesses, visitors and other stakeholders. You will be able to use sound judgement, provide guidance to others, and work positively as part of a team. A customer-focused approach and full driving licence are essential.
