Job Title: Pre-School Practitioner (Term-Time)
About Us: Breaston Pre-School CIO is a small, well-established village pre-school dedicated to caring for children aged 2 to 5 years. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Pre-School Practitioner to join us.
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in Early Years or returning to Early Years after a break.
The Role & Working Hours:
- Contract Type: Fixed term until July (Term-time only).
- Core Hours: Minimum 7.25 hours per week, working Thursdays, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm.
- Additional Hours: This role also requires covering 20 days (worked in 5-day blocks Mon-Fri 8.30 am - 3.45 pm) to cover staff on training placements (exact dates TBC).
- Expected Start Date: ASAP.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in childcare.
- Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working as a key worker for a small group of children.
- Paediatric First Aid training.
- Comfortable using a tablet for writing observations, reports, and conducting registers.
- Valid Derbyshire DBS certificate and be subscribed to the update service.
