Limitless Futures is a creative, therapeutic and nature-based alternative education provision supporting children (aged 6-12) who struggle to access mainstream school due to high levels of anxiety. This anxiety may be due to neurodivergence, learning differences, trauma or other big life events.
We believe children thrive when they feel safe, connected, understood and accepted.
Job Overview
Are you aged 18–25 and considering a future in SEND education, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Psychology, Youth Work, Alternative Provision or Outdoor Learning? We're looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Wellbeing Intern to join our creative, therapeutic, nature-based alternative provision at Limitless Futures CIC.
This paid internship is perfect for someone taking a gap year, exploring a therapeutic career, or looking to gain meaningful experience before university, an apprenticeship or employment. Over the course of the year, you'll work alongside experienced practitioners supporting children with SEND through arts and crafts, bushcraft, gardening, sensory regulation and outdoor learning.
Along the way, you'll develop confidence, reflective practice and valuable skills in therapeutic and relational approaches. We aren't looking for someone who has all the answers. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being with children, loves the outdoors, is emotionally aware, creative, reflective and eager to learn.
Qualifications
We would especially love to hear from students who have studied relevant subjects such as Psychology, Art, Craft & Design, Child Development, Health & Social Care, Physical Education and Environmental Science among others.
You do not need to have ‘all the answers’ or lots of experience. But we are looking for people who:
- genuinely enjoy being around children
- love nature and the outdoors
- are calm, patient and emotionally aware
- are creative and curious
- are interested in wellbeing and neurodiversity
- are reflective and willing to learn
- can work as part of a team
Join us as a Paid Wellbeing Intern and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to supporting children facing barriers to education. This term time internship provides experience while making a difference!
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
