Maintenance Assistant
Hours: 37.5hrs per week, Mon - Fri 9am - 5.30pm
Participation in an on-call rota is required to provide out-of-hours maintenance support when scheduled. Additional payments are made for scheduled on-call duties and for attending site when called out.
Avon Way House is a 406-bedroom managed temporary accommodation setting, comprising of fourteen buildings. Avon Way House is set within three acres of private gardens situated adjacent to the Salary Brook Local Nature Reserve in Colchester.
Our Maintenance Assistant role involves responding to the needs of the services in respect of ongoing property maintenance and vacant property turnarounds including but not limited to, general handy man duties, furniture and white goods deliveries, assembly and distribution, preventative maintenance checks and health and a safety checks with due regard for the safety of the resident population, staff and public.
