We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical systems across complex nuclear defence projects. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help develop safe, reliable and compliant solutions for safety-critical environments.
Key Deliverables:
- Producing, reviewing and assessing electrical engineering designs, specifications and technical documentation.
- Supporting the specification, production and assessment of design packages for infrastructure.
- Carrying out site walkdowns and producing associated Periodic Safety Review deliverables.
- Assessing electrical system reliability, performance and operational constraints.
- Developing and reviewing work control procedures for the maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
- Assessing equipment condition, qualification and ageing mechanisms to support the continued safe operation of facilities and utilities.
- Supporting fault-finding, technical investigations and resolution of engineering issues.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensuring designs and activities comply with relevant safety, quality, security and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrating and promoting a strong safety and security culture.
Key Requirements / Qualifications:
Essential:
- HNC or equivalent qualifications and experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Detailed knowledge of electrical infrastructure design intent within the nuclear industry or a similar highly regulated environment.
- Experience in electrical engineering design, assessment or maintenance.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to produce and review technical documentation and engineering deliverables.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
