Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Winton House.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a home care or care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a respectful and supportive environment for our clients.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Follow care plans meticulously to provide personalised support tailored to each client's requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring they feel supported during outings.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting clients when required.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is beneficial.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
- Flexibility in working hours is important to meet the needs of our clients.
