Salary: £33,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (8:00pm – 8:00am)
The Capital Hotel, Apartments & Townhouse is an independent 5-star luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge, renowned for its exceptional personalised service and elegant surroundings. We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Night Manager to join our Front Office team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident hospitality professional who enjoys leading a team, delivering outstanding guest experiences and taking full responsibility for the hotel during the night shift.
About the Role
As Night Manager, you will act as the senior manager on duty throughout the night, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel while maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction, safety and service.
You will be responsible for overseeing all night operations, supporting the Front Office and Concierge teams, handling guest requests and resolving any issues professionally and efficiently. You will also ensure all departments are operating safely and in accordance with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Manager on Duty during the night, ensuring the hotel operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Deliver an exceptional guest journey from arrival to departure.
- Ensure all pre-arrival requests and VIP arrangements have been completed.
- Welcome and recognise returning guests while creating memorable experiences.
- Handle guest enquiries and complaints promptly, professionally and empathetically.
- Conduct regular property walks and oversee Health & Safety throughout the hotel.
- Coordinate with operational departments to ensure seamless overnight service.
- Maintain accurate guest profiles and preferences within Opera PMS.
- Support the Concierge team and identify opportunities to enhance guest experiences and revenue.
- Ensure hotel security, fire procedures and company policies are followed at all times.
- Keep detailed handover notes and ensure effective communication with the daytime management team.
- Assist with special events and operational projects when required.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Night Manager, Night Supervisor or Front Office Supervisor within a quality hotel.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions independently.
- Experience using Opera PMS (essential).
- Excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety, fire procedures and hotel security.
- A flexible, positive and professional attitude.
- Additional language skills would be an advantage.
