We are currently recruiting compassionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to join our community-based support team across Gateshead.
Our service delivers high-quality support to individuals living with mental health needs and learning disabilities, helping people to live independently, safely, and confidently within their communities.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to a range of individuals, including:
- Older adults
- Individuals with learning disabilities
- Individuals with mental health needs
You will support individuals within the community and home environment to promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
Duties May Include:
- Providing companionship and structured engagement
- Supporting individuals to access appointments and community activities
- Encouraging independence and social inclusion
- Supporting with routine-building and daily structure
- Assisting with skills development and positive behaviour support
- Delivering emotional support and wellbeing check-ins
- Providing light practical support within the home environment
Important Information
This role does NOT involve delivering Personal Care and is currently a zero hour contract - contracted hours may be available in the near future

Experience & Requirements
- Ideally, applicants will have at least 1 year of experience within a support work, care, mental health, or learning disability setting
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS check required.
