We are looking for kind, reliable and compassionate Carer to join our growing team in Gosport.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Carer, you will visit people in their own homes and provide person-centred support based on their individual care plans.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting with washing, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.
- Providing continence care while maintaining dignity and privacy.
- Prompting, assisting with or administering medication following appropriate training and competency assessment.
- Preparing meals and supporting good nutrition and hydration.
- Supporting safe mobility, transfers and moving and handling.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting clients to access their local community and attend appointments.
- Completing light household duties, including cleaning and laundry.
- Observing clients' health and wellbeing and promptly reporting any changes or concerns.
- Maintaining accurate electronic care records.
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect.
- Following safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.
- Working closely with families, colleagues and healthcare professionals where required.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence – this is an essential requirement for the role.
- Have access to a reliable vehicle that can be used for travelling between service users.
- Be willing and able to travel between clients' homes within Gosport and surrounding areas.
- Complete an Enhanced DBS check.
- Provide satisfactory employment references.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Complete all required mandatory training and induction.
- Complete competency assessments relevant to the care and support they will provide.
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently within the community.
- Be available to work flexibly according to the needs of the service, which may include mornings, evenings and weekends.
Please note: Due to the nature of domiciliary care and the requirement to travel between service users, applicants who do not hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle will not be suitable for this position.
