Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our lively team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Your enthusiasm and culinary skills will help ensure our guests have a memorable experience from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during meal preparation and service
- Support the setup and cleanup of the kitchen area before and after shifts
- Maintain organized storage of ingredients and supplies to promote efficiency
- Serve food to guests in a friendly, timely manner while ensuring quality presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to uphold a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members
- Culinary experience that demonstrates creativity and attention to detail
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation

Pay: £8.00-£13.25 per hour
