Job Summary
The Field Service Technician II performs maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical and electrical equipment at off-site field locations, requiring a high degree of independent judgment. This role is responsible for communicating repair options to customers, ordering and receiving parts, and completing repairs efficiently to satisfy customer needs.
Ideal for self-motivated, hands-on service technicians who take pride in delivering exceptional service. Works closely with Field Service Manager to complete all service and repair assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Perform routine maintenance on Tritek equipment according to established guidelines and service/maintenance schedules
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing information, technical support, and training on equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with customers, offering solutions and ensuring satisfaction
- Prepare and complete service reports in a precise and timely manner
- Participate in meetings and trainings as assigned
- Follow customer site safety guidelines and adhere to safe job site practices
- Utilize standard computer programs including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, web-based service tools, and CRM reporting tools
- Project a positive company image through professional, cooperative interactions with employees, customers, and management
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must travel within assigned territory, including overnight stays (travel expectation 30%)
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GCSE equivalent; additional technical education or certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years repairing and maintaining office or warehouse equipment (e.g., copy machines, mail equipment).
Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience servicing and repairing mail equipment, with strong understanding of complex mechanical and logical functions
- Proficiency in reading and writing English is required
- Ability to read and comprehend computer-based schematics, specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, and safety manuals
- Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of HSE and industry safety standards
