Experienced Property Maintenance Administrator
We are seeking an experienced and organised Property Maintenance Administrator to join our established property lettings and management company based in Bedford.
The role involves coordinating repairs and maintenance works across our residential property portfolio, liaising with tenants, landlords, contractors, and suppliers, obtaining quotations, arranging access, monitoring progress of works, and ensuring maintenance issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks. Previous experience within property lettings, property management, maintenance administration, facilities management, or a similar role would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone with maturity, common sense, initiative, and a professional approach who is comfortable dealing with tenants, contractors, and landlords on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating maintenance and repair requests.
- Liaising with tenants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Obtaining quotations and arranging works.
- Monitoring jobs through to completion.
- Maintaining accurate property and maintenance records.
- Assisting with compliance and general property administration.
- Meeting with tenants as required to discuss maintenance matters and property issues.
- Carrying out routine property inspections and reporting any maintenance, safety, or tenancy concerns.
- Responding to maintenance enquiries and prioritising urgent issues.
Requirements
- Previous administrative experience, preferably within property lettings, property management, facilities management, or maintenance coordination.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email management, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn and use property management software.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and use initiative.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the role will involve visiting properties and meeting tenants.
Hours
We are flexible on working hours and welcome applications from both full-time and part-time candidates. We are happy to consider flexible working arrangements and can work around family commitments for the right person.
Applicants should be based within the Bedford area and able to attend our office and properties as required.
We are more interested in finding the right person with the right experience and attitude than fitting someone into a rigid working pattern.
Salary
Competitive and dependent upon experience.
