Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality coffee beverages. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, engaging with customers and honing your barista skills. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to ensure you excel in your role.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to company standards
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station throughout shifts
- Handle cash register transactions accurately and provide correct change
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly and minimise wait times
Requirement
- Previous barista experience or background in serving food and beverages is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a café environment
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Friendly, approachable manner with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to learn new skills and develop expertise in coffee preparation
