Exciting Area Sales Manager/Trainee opportunity as part of our market leading agricultural sales team. The role is based at our Pytchley depot, near Kettering, covering a specific geographic area of responsibility.
You will learn about our market leading products and from our experienced, professional sales team. The successful candidate will learn how to manage their sales area and the complete sales cycle in order to sell product and gain market share.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and expanding family-owned business. The successful candidate will be selling new and used machinery from leading franchises such as Case IH, JCB, Bailey Trailers, and many more.
The (Trainee) Area Sales Manager will:
- Manage a geographic area of responsibility for the sale of agricultural machinery
- Cultivate the customer base to build relationships and generate sales and new business
- Use all essential computer applications and sales tools to maintain accurate records
- Assist in organising, and take part in, relevant field demonstrations
- Complete handover and installation activities
- Build and maintain up-to-date product and customer-based knowledge
- Actively engage in the sales and marketing plan to ensure achievement of goals including a market share objective.
- Keeps up to date with competitor products, monitors competitor activity along with market and industry trends.
- Take part in relevant sales and personal training
- Support the sales team in daily duties
The successful candidate will:
- Be willing to learn
- Have good knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operational practices (not essential and can be learnt)
- Be capable and proficient at using standard computer applications, internet functions, and sales tools
- Deliver a first class customer experience by having detailed product knowledge, following an effective sales process and displaying excellent customer relationship skills.
- Be able to work extended hours when required
- Have a great attitude, conducting themselves with confidence, integrity and honesty.
