We operate 3 franchise dealerships across Shropshire representing 4 manufacturers’ car, and van brands.
Position:
A vacancy has arisen for a full time ARC vehicle recovery driver based at our Shrewsbury dealership.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recover damaged vehicles using 6.5-tonne recovery truck
- Conduct thorough pre-transport inspections to identify and report any existing damage
- Ensure timely and accurate collection and delivery of vehicles, adhering to scheduled appointments
- Ensure all documentation is completed correctly
- Deliver and collect customers & company vehicles to and from customer addresses
- Advise estimators or reception staff of customers’ needs and requests
- Record courtesy car condition on each collection and discuss any issues with customers
- Complete courtesy car forms appropriately making sure they are timed and dated
- Park vehicles in an orderly fashion and in the correct locations
- Ensure BS10125 standards are adhered to at all times
- Carry out other duties as and when requested to include vehicle cleaning, workshop cleaning, waste disposal
- Comfortable using smart phones or tablets for inspection applications
About you:
- A driving licence valid in the UK with C1 category (a drivers CPC is essential)
- A good understanding of vehicles
- Experience of cleaning vehicles to a high standard
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Organised, calm and with good attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks safely
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Good time management
- A positive work ethic and ability to be responsive to a flexible workload

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week)
