We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dispensing Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical products and services, providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients in selecting the right eyewear. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all optical needs are met with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions and personal style preferences.
- Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Maintain an organised inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, including lens edging and assembly, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate clients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure accurate prescription fulfilment.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of laboratory processes related to eyewear production.
- Understanding of human anatomy as it pertains to vision care.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills for managing inventory and customer records.
