Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented kitchen porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in commercial settings. The porter will ensure that all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, contributing to a safe and pleasant environment for both staff and clients.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal areas.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored safely.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
- Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement.
- Good organisational skills to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients professionally.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and their proper usage is advantageous.
