We are producers of Bath limestone, based in Corsham, near Bath. Our mine has a long history of producing beautiful and high-quality Bath stone for demanding clients all over the world.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic operative to join our small team at Park Lane mine.
The Role
The successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day operation of the mine, both above and below ground, utilising a variety of plant to carry out operations extracting and preparing our stone.
Responsibilities include
- Operate plant to remove and prepare blocks
- Assist in day to day operations reporting to the mine manager
- Ensure safe operations and adherence to H&S legislation
- Operate fixed and movable plant such as loaders safely
- Perform quality checks
Requirements
- Experience in a quarry/mine environment advantageous but not essential
- Telescopic Loader license
- Proactive problem solver
- Ability to adapt to situations and overcome challenges
Hours
0700-1700 Mon-Thurs
0700-1300 Fri
Overtime is not currently available.
Due to the location of the mine, you will need to be able to reliably commute without public transport.
Pay: £16.00 per hour
