Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nightshift Care Assistant to provide compassionate support and assistance to residents during the overnight hours within a care home setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals in their care. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ conditions throughout the night, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support as needed.
- Follow individualised care plans to meet each resident’s specific needs and preferences.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or urgent situations that arise during the shift.
- Maintain accurate documentation of residents’ conditions and any incidents that occur overnight.
- Support residents with their evening routines and prepare them for restful sleep.
- Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare professionals regarding residents’ status and needs.
- Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and comfortable throughout the night.
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Pay: £13.65 per hour
