Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Administrator to join our bookkeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Duties
- Process employee payroll for our clients using Bright Pay payroll system
- Manage data entry related to employee hours, deductions, and benefits with precision
- Oversee accounts payable related to payroll expenses and liaise with finance teams for reconciliation
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including analysis of payroll data for discrepancies or trends
- Corresponding with our clients regarding their payrolls via email & telephone
- Complete monthly payroll journals for clients
- Liase with pension providers and process monthly filing
- Continuously review payroll procedures for efficiency improvements and compliance updates
- Requirements
- Proven experience with Bright Pay payroll system
- Knowledge of accounting software and payroll processing procedures
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation
- Analytical skills to interpret payroll data and resolve discrepancies effectively
- Prior experience in human resources or related fields is desirable
- Organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities within strict deadlines
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively across departments and external partners
- Flexible to differing hours during a week according to month end submission of data
