Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths and English Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students across various age groups, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic development. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and working with teenagers with Special Educational Needs 16+. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced teachers and those beginning their teaching careers.
Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons in Maths and English tailored to students’ individual needs.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and confidence building.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special educational requirements or diverse learning styles.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students’ overall development.
- Incorporate innovative teaching resources and technology to enhance lesson delivery.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful classroom setting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and English at various levels.
- Working knowledge of special education needs (SEN) is essential.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student requirements.
- Passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting children's academic growth.
- Relevant teaching qualifications.

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
