Overview
We are seeking a friendly and talented Kids Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. This role requires a confidence in both girls and boys hair to provide hair styling services tailored to children, creating a fun and welcoming environment for young clients and their families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for working with children, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in hairdressing, barbering, and customer service is advantageous. WEEKEND WORK IS ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialised hair styling services for children, including cuts and styling tailored to their needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and organised work station adhering to health and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively with young clients and their families
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, processing payments, and answering enquiries
- Assist with store management tasks including stock organisation and maintaining salon presentation
- Work well with other team members to ensure smooth running of salon day to day
- Upsell suitable products and services to maximise client satisfaction and salon revenue
Skills
- Proven experience in store management or salon environment preferred
- Barbering skills are an advantage but not essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and adults alike
- Experience in front desk operations and appointment scheduling
- Mentoring abilities to support team development
- Knowledge of beauty treatments such as hair braiding, nail painting and glitter tattoos desired but not essential
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
