As our business continues to grow across multiple brands and specialist services, we are looking for a creative, organised and commercially minded Content Strategist to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in content marketing, digital marketing, copywriting, search optimisation or communications who enjoys creating high-quality content, managing multiple projects and using digital tools and artificial intelligence to produce effective content.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Content Strategist to take responsibility for the planning, creation, management and quality control of content across our websites and social media channels.You will play a key role in developing the organisation's online presence across multiple brands, ensuring that website content is accurate, engaging, professionally presented and optimised for search engines and AI-powered search.The role combines content creation, website management, social media, search optimisation, quality control and content planning. You will work closely with internal teams to identify content opportunities, coordinate workloads and ensure content is delivered consistently and to a high standard.A strong understanding of how to use artificial intelligence effectively within content production will be particularly important. You will be expected to use AI tools to improve efficiency and support content development while maintaining accuracy, originality, quality and an appropriate professional tone.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Management
- Take ownership of the overall content workload across multiple brands, ensuring content is planned, prioritised and delivered consistently.
- Quality-check website content to ensure it is accurate, engaging, professionally written, consistent with brand guidelines and free from errors.
- Coordinate with internal team members to identify content requirements, manage deadlines and support the development and delivery of content projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing content and develop new content that supports the organisation's wider marketing and commercial objectives.
- Maintain and update website content to ensure information remains accurate, relevant and engaging.
2. Content Creation & Social Media
- Write and edit high-quality website content, blogs, news articles and other relevant content across multiple brands and specialist service areas.
- Build and manage social media content calendars across multiple brands, ensuring a consistent and varied flow of content.
- Create, coordinate and schedule social media posts across relevant platforms.
- Ensure content is appropriate for the intended audience, including legal professionals, medical experts and prospective clients.
- Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future content and social media activity.
3. Search Optimisation & Artificial Intelligence
- Develop and implement search engine optimisation strategies to improve organic visibility, search rankings and website performance.
- Apply strong knowledge of answer engine optimisation to ensure content is structured and written effectively for search engines, AI-powered search platforms and answer-based search.
- Conduct keyword and competitor research and use insights to inform content planning and creation.
- Use artificial intelligence tools effectively and responsibly to support research, ideation, drafting, editing, optimisation and content production.
- Develop efficient artificial intelligence-assisted content workflows that improve productivity without compromising quality, accuracy or originality.
- Stay up to date with developments in artificial intelligence, search engines, AI-powered search and digital content and identify opportunities to incorporate new tools and techniques into the content strategy.
About You
Essential
- Previous experience in content marketing, digital marketing, copywriting, communications, search engine optimisation or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of search engine optimisation principles and experience creating content designed to perform well in search results.
- Good knowledge of answer engine optimisation and how content is increasingly being discovered through AI-powered search.
- Strong understanding of how to use artificial intelligence tools effectively within content production.
- Experience managing social media content calendars and creating content for multiple platforms.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple content projects, deadlines and priorities.
- Strong written English and excellent attention to detail.
- Creative, proactive and commercially minded, with the ability to identify new content opportunities.
- Confident working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the organisation.
Desirable
- Experience working across multiple brands or websites.
- Experience within healthcare, legal, professional services or another regulated industry.
- Experience using website content management systems and social media scheduling tools.
- Experience with search engine optimisation tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs or similar.
- Experience developing content strategies and measuring content performance.
