We are looking for a Relief Assistant Support Worker, to work with our team and clients in our Homelessness Services in Ryde and Newport, Isle of Wight. The successful applicant(s) will be enthusiastic, good communicators, passionate and positive.
The role is within The Salvation Army, Isle of Wight Homelessness Service which provides personalised support for 63 people, supporting them on their individual journeys from homelessness to home.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of Relief Assistant Support Worker provides assistance with the delivery of support to clients by working as part of the support team to ensure clients have access to high quality support, ultimately empowering them to move towards independent living. You will complete day to day activities including administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of our services.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

Excellent communication skills with good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records

Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills

An understanding of the support needs and challenges faced by vulnerable individuals

The ability to work independently and as part of a team
