As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and organised Warehouse Coordinator to join our team at our West Thurrock warehouse.
The Role
The Warehouse Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse by coordinating Goods In and Goods Out activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, processing customer orders, preparing customer invoices, and ensuring all warehouse administration is completed accurately and on time.
You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, warehouse operatives, transport planners, customer service, and finance teams to deliver an outstanding service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Goods In and Goods Out activities.
- Process inbound deliveries and outbound customer orders using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Prepare dispatch documentation and customer paperwork.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices for warehouse services.
- Respond to customer enquiries relating to stock, deliveries, and warehouse operations.
- Produce inventory and operational reports.
- Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics or materials handling roles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience operating forklifts safely; valid certification preferred.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster collaboration.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies to optimise operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Organised and highly accurate.
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experienced with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Able to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
- A proactive problem solver with a positive attitude.
- Experienced in warehouse administration, inventory control, or logistics (preferred).
- Experience within a 3PL warehouse environment is desirable.
