Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fruit Cutter to join our food production team for our new concept in Tesco.
This role involves preparing fresh fruit for processing and packaging, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety regulations, with a keen eye for cleanliness and precision.
You need to be over 18 years old.
Duties
- Carefully cut, peel, and prepare various types of fresh fruits according to specified standards and recipes
- Ensure all fruit is handled in accordance with HACCP guidelines and food safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to meet hygiene standards
- Assist in the organisation and storage of prepared fruit to facilitate efficient production flow
- Conduct basic quality checks on fruit for freshness, appearance, and compliance with safety standard.
Requirements
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is essential
- Experience in food production or processing is desirable but not mandatory, training will be provided
- Basic maths skills for measuring, portioning, and record keeping
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow strict safety procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs.
- Opening business hours for the kiosk is from 6am until 7pm.
