Job Overview
We are seeking a self motivated, disciplined and skilled Motor Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and modifying a range of specialist vehicles.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections
- Repair and replace faulty components, including engine components, cambelts/chains, transmissions, clutches, brakes, and electrical components, utilizing hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Assemble or disassemble vehicle parts during repairs or upgrades with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle, documenting repairs performed and parts used.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment to handle large or cumbersome parts safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and addressing customer concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a motor vehicle technician or mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Experience with Ford, VAG, Mitsubishi Evolutions and/or Subaru Preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions effectively.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair techniques.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and serve customers effectively.
- Certification or training in automotive technology is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing learning is encouraged.
Pay: £12,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
