The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of beverage service.
This role involves supervising staff, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the bar team, overseeing and service, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. This is a paid position offering an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant team within a busy hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage staff, including training, and scheduling shifts
- Maintain high levels of customer service by engaging with guests and resolving any issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with licensing
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimise waste
- Develop innovative drink menus and promote specials to enhance customer experience
- Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards
- Lead by example in serving customers efficiently while maintaining professional conduct
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and presentation
- Implement training programmes to improve team performance and hospitality skills
- ensuring that the bar is operated in line with licensing laws and health and sty regulations.
- Ensure that the bar is kept clean to a high standard this includes ensuring that lines are clean weekly.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in a bar or similar environment
- Hold personal licence
- Strong team managementskills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working atmosphere
- Understand the laws and legislation ideally hold a personal license.
- Experience in servingcustomers in a fast-paced setting with excellent communication skills
- Previous experience as a bar manager working with a busy bar
- Demonstrated ability to lead with leadership qualities, ensuring smooth operations at all times
