Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Night Porter/Receptionist to join our hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests and visitors warmly upon arrival, providing friendly assistance and information
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Handle phone calls with professional etiquette, directing inquiries or taking messages as needed
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns, resolving issues with a positive attitude
- Keep detailed records of arrivals, departures, incidents, and other relevant activities during your shift
- Support administrative tasks such as booking reservations or updating guest information in the system
Cleaning
- Clean and sanitise the restaurant, bar, reception, and all public areas.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect guest and staff toilets, replenishing consumables as required.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors throughout the premises.
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, and entrance areas.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with recycling and waste management procedures.
- Carry out scheduled deep cleaning tasks to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and chemicals are stored and used safely.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for guest service is essential
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Strong understanding of hospitality standards and guest service excellence
- Ability to remain alert, proactive, and energetic during overnight hours
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts in a dynamic environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to remain calm in emergency situations.
