Production Engineer
Location: Norfolk
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am > 4:30pm
iSQ Recruitment is supporting a specialist UK engineering and manufacturing business working on advanced electric powertrain and electrification technology.
We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role covering NPI, prototype builds, process improvement, tooling and production development.
The Role
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes
- Support products from prototype through to production
- Support prototype builds and resolve manufacturing issues
- Provide DFM feedback to engineering teams
- Create Work Instructions, PFMEAs, Control Plans and Process Flows
- Investigate production issues and implement improvements
- Specify and develop tooling and production equipment
- Support tooling development using Creo / Pro Engineer
- Support production layouts and equipment integration
- Deliver Lean and Continuous Improvement projects
- Work closely with Design, Engineering and Production teams
- Manage manufacturing engineering projects
About You:
- Production, Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience
- Experience with NPI, prototype or product development
- Practical Creo or Pro Engineer experience is essential
- HNC, HND or equivalent engineering qualification/experience
- Ability to read 2D and 3D engineering drawings
- Experience with DFM and manufacturing processes
- Experience with PFMEAs, Control Plans and Work Instructions
- Process improvement or Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience with tooling or production equipment
