Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components with precision and care
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to disassemble, repair, replace parts, and reassemble vehicle systems
- Read and interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams to troubleshoot complex problems effectively
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when handling engine parts or heavy components during repairs or maintenance procedures
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work completed
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately using schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes for efficient repairs
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and routine servicing procedures
- Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
