Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods on site at EKFB HS2 . This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, particularly with flatbed vehicles. Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 flatbed in compliance with all legal and safety regulations.
- Site movements to specified destinations in a timely and secure manner.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or issues.
- Secure loads effectively using appropriate equipment to prevent movement during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules and any delays.
- Adhere strictly EKFB site restrictions, rules and site routes.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed loads and delivery operations.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Please note this role is driving on-site not on the public road network 10 hour day shifts, EKFB inducted would be an advantage.
