Prep Chef – Pizza Restaurant
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Chef to join our team.
This is an important behind the scenes role, making sure the kitchen is fully prepared and ready for service. You’ll be responsible for producing our dough, sauces, dips and starters to a consistently high standard, while keeping the prep area organised and spotless.
Responsibilities
● Making and preparing pizza dough according to our recipes and processes
● Preparing sauces and dips from scratch
● Preparing ingredients and starters ready for service
● Weighing, portioning and labelling ingredients accurately
● Following recipes and maintaining consistency and quality
● Managing stock rotation and following FIFO procedures
● Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
● Keeping the kitchen, prep areas, equipment and storage areas clean, tidy and organised
● Following food safety, allergen and cross-contamination procedures
● Making sure prep is completed efficiently and on time for service
What We’re Looking For
● Previous kitchen or food preparation experience
● Food Hygiene Certificate
● Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
● Reliable, organised and able to work independently
● Strong attention to detail and consistency
● Comfortable following recipes, measurements and prep schedules
● Good time management and able to work efficiently
● Experience with baking, bread or dough preparation is preferred but not essential – training can be provided
● Positive attitude and willingness to learn
About the Role
This role would suit someone who enjoys prep work, takes pride in keeping a kitchen organised and clean, and understands that consistency is extremely important.
Experience working with dough or baking would be a bonus, but we’re more interested in finding someone reliable, clean, organised and willing to learn our methods properly.
Pay: £16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
