Overview
We are seeking to employ a Retail Security Officer within one of our retail environment! In this vital role, you will ensure the safety and security of staff, customers, and assets by implementing proactive surveillance measures and loss prevention strategies.
Duties
- Monitor store premises using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity and prevent theft or vandalism.
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the store to identify potential security risks.
- Implement loss prevention techniques by observing customer behavior and intervening when necessary to deter theft.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, including emergencies or disturbances, and coordinate with emergency services when needed.
- Perform safety checks and assist in maintaining a secure environment for staff and shoppers by enforcing store policies.
- Provide first aid assistance in case of minor injuries, ensuring prompt and professional care until further help arrives.
- Maintain detailed incident reports, surveillance logs, and security records accurately and confidentially.
Experience
- Prior experience in retail security, surveillance operations, or loss prevention is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, security protocols, and basic first aid procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with staff, customers, and emergency responders.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while handling challenging situations with confidence.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods during shifts.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
