Senior Support Worker – Learning Disabilities
Location: Chichester Lane, Hampton Magna
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week)
Salary: £13.91 per hour
Join Heart of England Mencap and help people with learning disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives. We're looking for an experienced, compassionate and resilient Senior Support Worker to support the day-to-day running of our supported living service.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality, person-centred support while leading and supporting the staff team to ensure the service runs safely and effectively.
Key responsibilities:

Support the day-to-day operation of the service and deputise for the Service Manager when required.

Lead by example and support colleagues on shift.

Empower customers to achieve their goals, build independence and participate in community activities.

Build positive relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals.

Ensure compliance with health and social care regulations, policies, audits and record keeping.

Support staff training, supervision and quality assurance processes.
This role requires flexibility to work a range of shifts. A full UK driving licence is essential.
You'll ideally have:

At least two years' experience in the care sector.

Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.

Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy or supervisory role (desirable).

Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.

A caring, resilient and adaptable approach, with a commitment to delivering outstanding person-centred support.
This role requires flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
