We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Purchasing to join the Claridge’s Purchasing team.

Purchasing
Each day within our Purchasing department is a seamless orchestration of sourcing products that uphold Claridge’s standards, while ensuring seamless coordination as deliveries arrive from a variety of suppliers. As part of the Purchasing department, you will pay meticulous attention to every item that enters the hotel and ensure that it is handled and distributed with the same care that defines the service we provide to our guests. It is a department rooted in anticipation and refinement—balancing cost, quality, and timing to support every department behind the scenes.
As Assistant Director of Purchasing you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining all systems that cover every aspect of the hotel’s purchasing, including the receiving, storage, control and distribution of goods, in line with Company standards.
- Ensuring purchase order procedures are in place and adopted within the hotel for goods of any kind and that specific authorisations are gained prior to processing.
- Ensuring the team follows the correct procedures with all deliveries, advising relevant departments that products have arrived and deliver as necessary.
- Ensuring invoices are checked, verified and approved prior to processing for payment.
- Implementing all operating and control procedures to ensure that movement of goods into and within the hotel is properly accounted for.
- Proactively assist and support monthly stock-takes of the inventory storerooms and other areas as directed and to support effective stock Management.
- Ensuring that inventoried items are stored properly and issued in rotation to minimize wastage and spoilage.
