Duties
- Manage transportation schedules and coordinate shipments using advanced transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries.
- Enter and update data accurately in logistics software maintain precise records of shipments, inventory, and shipping/receiving activities.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams via phone and email, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, verifying documentation, tracking shipments, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Support supply chain operations by analyzing transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Maintain organized records of all transportation activities, including logs for inbound/outbound shipments and incident reports.
- Assist with 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers to coordinate deliveries and pickups while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Skills
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), SyteLine, AS400, and other logistics software.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret data related to shipping performance and supply chain metrics.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Accurate data entry skills combined with fast typing ability to handle high-volume documentation efficiently.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with familiarity with logistics operations.
- Ability to demonstrate professional phone etiquette when liaising with external partners or internal departments.
- Basic understanding of supply chain principles, 3PL coordination, and transportation regulations.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
