We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Gate Engineer to carry out troubleshooting of automated gate systems and access control solutions. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless operation of security gates, bollards, barriers and basic access control. Your expertise will help safeguard assets, optimise system performance, and support safety protocols through innovative system design and technical excellence. Duties
- Carry out on site repairs to automated gates including mechanical components, electrical wiring and metal fabrication.
- Carry out upgrades of existing gate systems bringing them in line with current H&S compliancy.
- Carry out maintenance visits.
- Work as part of a team when required.
Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring.
- Mechanical knowledge related to gate mechanisms, motorised components, and structural elements.
- Electrical experience including wiring diagrams, circuit troubleshooting, and power management for automated gates.
- Metal fabrication skills i.e arc welding.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and translate system design plans.
- Knowledge of gate safety compliancy regulations.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers as well as power tools like drills and saws for construction related tasks.
- Experience working within construction environments of infrastructure projects involving gate automation systems.
