The Role
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes. Every client is different, and you will play an important role in helping them live safely, independently and with dignity.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing and mobility. Supporting clients with medication in line with their care plans and training. Preparing nutritious meals according to individual dietary requirements. Providing light household support to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Offering companionship and emotional support to promote clients' wellbeing. Driving safely between clients and, where required, supporting clients with appointments, shopping, social activities and errands. Supporting clients with a range of needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's and end-of-life care. Following all health and safety, safeguarding and infection control procedures. Accurately recording care provided and communicating effectively with families and healthcare professionals. Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance your care skills.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient and respectful. Passionate about providing high-quality care. Experienced in domiciliary care, home care, nursing homes or similar care environments. A female driver with a valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle. Confident driving safely between clients. Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with clients and their families. Comfortable supporting individuals with mobility and personal care needs. Knowledgeable about dementia, Alzheimer's, elderly care or end-of-life care. Able to follow care plans and support clients with medication where trained and authorised. Reliable, flexible and able to adapt to changing client needs. Committed to protecting clients' dignity, privacy and independence.
Previous care experience is highly desirable, but we are also interested in hearing from individuals who have the right attitude, compassion and commitment to care.
