Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Low Risk Manager for our Production Department in the UK. In this role you will oversee production processes, ensure product quality, and maintain food safety standards. Join us in shaping the future of dessert innovation and excellence. The hours for this role are 8:30am-4:30pm Monday - Friday.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate the activities of the Low Risk Department employees on both shifts to ensure that optimum levels of output are achieved and that all staff achieve their agreed targets as defined by their job description and/or KPIs (Team of Approx 17)
- Ensure completion of the monthly stock take of all Low Risk Department WIP.
- Ensure the completion of the plan each week with the maximum efficiency and make sure the quality of the product is up to our standard and specification.
- Ensure recipes and production techniques are followed to maintain consistency in taste, texture, presentation and quality across both shifts.
- Ensure the availability of safe, legal and quality products to meet customer orders.
- Control production costs including labour costs, ingredient usage and wastage.
- Promote best working practice in all Low Risk Department areas.
- Keep track of employee hours, holidays, skill covers, and other administrative functions.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained throughout the Bakery
- To ensure all the machinery being maintained regularly.
- Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
- Assess the performance of the Low Risk Department Employees and other direct reports on an ongoing basis both informally and formally via appraisals.
- Ensure effective recruitment and that all staff training needs are identified and met to ensure smooth operations.
- Encourage and maintain a positive work environment with strong communication and teamwork.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other managers, team leaders and staff at all levels.
- Provide information on current and planned production activities as required.
- Present accurate production information as required for weekly KPIs.
- Make any recommendations to the Head of Operations which could improve operational efficiency, quality and health and safety.
- Make sure the Low Risk department area is Audit ready at all times and all the processes and procedures are followed correctly.
Preferred Specification:
Qualification:
- Prior experience in a Bakery or Foodservice management role.
- Management experience in FMCG environment, or similar manufacturing
- Level 4 Food Safety
- IOSH Managing Safely
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to resolve staffing issues in a fair and objective manner. Strong problem-solving skills
