Job Purpose
To raise the profile of the charity, promote our venues and projects, and engage the local community through creative digital and traditional storytelling. You will be responsible for ensuring our mission is visible, consistent, and impactful across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Content & Social Media
- Manage and grow our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) with engaging, regular updates.
- Create high-quality content: taking photos at events, writing "good news" stories, and filming short clips of our projects in action.
- Maintain and update the charity website, ensuring event listings and venue hire information are current.
2. Community Outreach & Campaigns
- Design and distribute physical marketing materials (posters, flyers, banners) for local community boards and shops.
- Produce a regular email newsletter to keep supporters and hirers informed.
- Draft press releases for local newspapers to highlight major charity milestones or upcoming events.
3. Brand & Consistency
- Act as the "brand guardian," ensuring all communications (letters, signs, posts) look professional and align with the charity’s values.
- Support the Fundraising role by creating compelling visual "cases for support" (e.g., impact reports or donor thank-you graphics).
Requirements
- Proven proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Managing professional social media accounts.
- Strong copywriting and basic graphic design (e.g., Canva).
- Ability to adapt tone for different audiences (donors vs. youth)
- Highly organized with an eye for detail and design.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.20-£15.40 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 per week
