Green Light Trust is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Facilitator to provide high quality support to participants across our nature-based programmes. This role supports individuals of all ages and pathways, including:
Children and young people
Post-16 learners
Adults
Adults with additional needs
Participants with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Participants experiencing social, emotional, behavioural or mental health challenges
Working alongside tutors, facilitators and programme staff, you will enable participants to engage fully in learning, personal development and wellbeing activities delivered in outdoor, nature-based settings. You will help individuals overcome barriers, build confidence, develop independence and achieve their personal goals. You will provide personalised support tailored to individual needs, ensuring participants can access activities safely, successfully and with dignity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to participants across all Green Light Trust programmes.
- Support participants to engage in learning, wellbeing and personal development activities.
- Adapt support approaches to meet individual learning styles, communication needs and support plans.
- Encourage independence whilst providing appropriate levels of guidance and assistance.
- Promote confidence, resilience, self-esteem and positive participation.
- Support participants in developing social skills, emotional regulation and positive relationships.
- Work closely with facilitators to ensure consistent support aligned with individual goals and support plans.
- Support individuals with behaviour management, helping individuals regulate their emotions, build resilience and build personal development strategies.

- Comfortable working outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions.
- Able to remain calm and professional when supporting individuals who may experience challenges or distress.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting individuals with SEND, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities or SEMH needs.
- Experience working in youth work, community services, social care, health care or a related field.
