Erne Lifting Services are looking for a motivated and reliable Store Person / Warehouse Assistant to join our growing team.
This is an important role within the business, involving customer service, product knowledge and ensuring customers requirements are met. The successful candidate will work in a busy store environment supporting day-to-day operations.
Duties Include:
- Assisting customers and understanding their requirements to provide the correct products and solutions.
- Advising customers on suitable tools, fixings, bolts, hardware & equipment.
- Identifying different products, sizes and specifications accurately.
- Serving customers in a professional and helpful manner.
- Assisting with customer enquiries both in person and over the phone.
- Working with the team to ensure customer demands are met, especially during busy periods.
- Carrying out general stores and warehouse duties as required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be reliable, organised and work well under pressure.
- Have good maths skills and attention to detail.
- Have an interest in tools, engineering products and hardware.
- Ideally have knowledge of fixings, bolt sizes, tools and equipment (preferred but not essential).
- Be able to understand measurements, sizes and product specifications.
- Have good communication and customer service skills.
- Be confident speaking with customers and helping them find a solution.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Previous experience in a hardware store, warehouse or customer-facing role would be an advantage, but experience is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
