Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience and skillset)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Panel Wirer to join our production team. You will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels according to engineering drawings and schematics. This involves fitting components, ensuring accuracy and safety, testing completed panels, and potentially troubleshooting and repairing any issues.
This position involves close collaboration with engineering, project management and production leads within Elemental Energy. We are a small company with all team members contributing across various areas and activities when needed—collaboration and adaptability are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings: Accurately read and apply information from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Wiring and Assembly: Wire and assemble control panels to specification, ensuring correct routing and secure connections.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform functional and safety testing of panels to verify compliance with design and safety standards.
- Troubleshooting and Fault Finding: Identify and resolve wiring errors or component faults during and after assembly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and technicians, to ensure efficient project completion.
- Adhering to Safety Procedures: Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintaining a Clean Work Environment: Keep the workspace organised, tidy, and hazard-free.
- Support Production: Assist with broader product assembly, installation, and commissioning as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and attend regular production meetings.

Preferred experience with one or more of the following:
- Working with low voltage DC (700V) systems comparable to electric vehicles
- Experience with heavy/large system handling and movement (PUWER)
- Operating in a production or assembly environment
- Wiring loom installation / connection
