The Artisan Cakery in Kemptown is looking for a Full Time Barista. You will have Monday's off each week and work alternate weekends. The job will involve serving customers, making drinks to a high standard, prepping and making our range of toasties and wraps, cleaning and other general duties.
We have another shop on the street and on occasions you may be asked to work shifts in this store as well, it's a plant and gift shop.
Hours of work:
- Tuesday 9-3
- Wednesday 9-3
- Thursday 9-3
- Friday 9-3
Then alternate weekends, which you would be responsible for opening and closing the store:
- Saturday 7:30-3:15
- Sunday 8:30-3:15
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the shop, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
- Coordinate food production and preparation, ensuring high quality and adherence to food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including equipment and storage areas
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for improving shop performance
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a food service setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay: £13.50 per hour
