After 17 years of growing from strength to strength, we are now looking to expand our large team of sonographers to join us in our new Bristol clinic, working in a professional, rewarding and relaxed environment.
Working hours will vary depending on the day, including weekends.
The sonographer will be working in an experienced team and will have the advantage of having a chaperone/assistant for all appointments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise and contribute to patient care within a professional healthcare environment. The Sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring high standards of imaging quality and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic ultrasound procedures across various modalities; obstetrics, and gynaecology are essential. Candidates that can also perform Small parts, general abdominal, MSK as well as other modalities are given preference.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively, adjusting settings to optimise image quality.
- Analyse images for clarity and accuracy, making necessary adjustments during procedures.
- Maintain detailed patient records and images
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
Qualifications
- recognised qualification in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Imaging with a specialisation in Sonography.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in image acquisition and record keeping.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining registration with relevant professional bodies.
